At Biometanizadora Toletum we promote sustainable projects that encourage a circular economy. In order to achieve that, we offer longterm solutions to a problem which will always be part of our existence: organic waste.
Founded in 2021, Biometanizador Toletum is a Spanish company born due to the necessity of managing organic waste in the Iberic region. We enable the treatment and disposal of organic waste mainly from livestock and crop waste and guarantee the production of renewable energy by means of anaerobic digestion.

Biogas generates employment and investments: in the EU for some years now more people are working on the biogas industry than in the solar industry. Biogas is a route to better waste management and sustainable agriculture.

Digestate for more arid countries for farmers and growing crops to put nutrients (nitrogen and potassium) back to soil is very important for having a healthy environment. Growing crops is important because if we get our soil systems right, where 95% of our food comes from, then we have a healthy planet and we become healthy in it.
The challenges we have in terms of climate change are now. Particularly in North Africa and Spain, we see the hotter summers the lower rainfall, desertification,etc. We have to fight this now.
In the EU in 2023 every household and every business will start to have obligatory bio-waste collections. Where are those 50 million tonnes of bio-waste going to go?
